Explore the magical world of ice

This introductory class will let you use ice in a new and creative way. Some say the experience will make you intense and relaxed at once. The class starts by giving you some background information about working with ice and an introduction of how to use the tools. This is an opportunity to free your mind and let your creativity show. The activity includes warm drinks and local products as appetizers to taste for a small taste of Swedish cuisine.

Discover the history of matches and a thriving cultural area

A travel back in time to the days when Jönköping was the source of light and warmth for the whole world. Here the heart of the global safety match production was situated. We learn about this fascinating story and experience the growing pub and restaurant culture in the area. After a Meet n’ Greet we will experience a local beer tasting, though in small portions, as well as a visit at the world’s only match museum. We will then look at locally produced arts and handcrafts and conclude the tour with a lunch at a ‘matching’ restaurant.

SPA trip with lunch

Fantastic SPA in a marvelous environment

The manor house that is mirrored in the waters of Lake Hookasjön is a reminder that Hooks Herrgård has been an elegant home for centuries.

Here you can enjoy a brand new spa of 1.300 sqm, swim in a 20 meters swimming pool, take a relaxing bath in the hot springs or a refreshing swim in the lake. There is a wide range of different saunas and showers, as well as rooms for beauty treatments and training. You also have access to the gym. We finish the trip with a lovely lunch. The restaurant is a reminder of the refinement of Sweden’s past with a beautiful panoramic view of the lake. This mansion is located about 20 min with bus south of Jönköping.

You will take over the kitchen of Hassan’s brand new restaurant Kapris in Jönköping. Your group will be instructed and guided to cook and will enjoy a meal together with the chef himself. It will be a unique and unforgettable experience, great opportunity for learning new techniques, and of course a lot of fun! All participants will get some special Swedish recipe of Hassan to take home.

Pittoresque Gränna, Candy canes and Gränna museum Polar Center

An excursion to Sweden’s Capital of Candy

Along the eastern shore of Lake vättern, right through the UNESCO biosphere reserve, you will travel to Jönköping’s most famous tourist attraction, the town of Gränna. Here you will experience a lively little Swedish town, almost like from the picture book,  with its colorful wooden houses, cobblestones, and nice little cafes and restaurants.

Next stop will be Gränna Museum Polar Center, a fine little museum which attracts tens of thousands visitors every summer. Here you will take part in an amazing and renewed exhibition of Andrée’s polar expedition in 1897. After having learned about Andrée and his destiny you will visit a candy cane bakery where you can watch the making of those famous sweets. The final highlight will be a delicious lunch at the magnificent country manor hotel Gyllene Uttern high above Gränna with a stunning view over lake Vättern.
